Consultant VS Con-sultan

It’s so disheartening and distressing to see Con-sultan time & again taking ignorant newbie for a ride. However, we do not need a rocket scientist’s dissertation to find out the “bad apples”. Generally, differences between Real Sifu and Con-sultan are listed, but not limited to the followings:

Sifu or Good Consultant
1. They are humble; do not like to admit and claim themselves as consultant or sifu.
2. They are low profile & friendly.
3. They like to learn, share, and invite others to exchange ideas.
4. They are really committed, serious & no playx2.
5. Care for others’ feeling (neighbours in vicinity), not self-centered, unselfish.
6. Not easily found. Good consultant hard to come by.
7. They don’t like commenting about others; instead, they hint you indirectly on what is wrong & what is right.
8. Professional & have proven track records
9. Most of them do not support eco-park.
10. Their design is simple but practicable, minimum maintenance cost & not so emphasize on high tech.
11. You have to go to find them as they are real busy with their own farming business & where got time to entertain you.
12. They believe in good thing don't come cheap, cheap thing not good thing.
13. Follow them; you learn a lot of things in the end.

Kon-suck-tan or Con-sultan
1. They are arrogant & emotionally-sensitive freak, use 4 letter words to screw people like mad cow & shamelessly claim that people intentionally step on their toes, heartless, rude, seldom trust other people, bad tempered, less patience, no balls to admit mistake and like to challenge people.
2. They advertise & sweet talk to lure victims and entice goats into their lair. Like to trumpet & brag about their little achievement.
3. They refuse to learn and always think that they are the best.
4. They are irresponsible and cunning. They don’t f-care you after you release the last pay-cheque (sorry to say that when you realize, it’s already too late). No FOC after-sale service, unless you are willing to replenish them vitamin M. MIA when thing goes wrong, hp no pick up, etc, etc, etc.
5. No commitment, like to make empty promise, promise but no action, always need to chase & “esok lusa”. Like to find 1001 reasons & excuses to justify their claim. Care for your money than you. They are selfish, inconsiderate, reputation stinks to the hell.
6. Throw a stone from your BH, you may likely hit one.
7. Like to badmouth others.
8. Look like a salesman, good for nothing except marketeering. Unable to show you their own successful BHs. Most of them don’t own any farm.
9. Most of them advocate eco-park.
10. They like to propose to you expensive equipment and costly materials. They advocate high tech & incur high BH monthly maintenance cost.
11. They like to approach you instead of you go to find them.
12. From them you get to know that expensive thing also not good thing
13. Follow them; you will be MCC, you learn that you never learned anything after kena con “kao-kao”.

[MCC = Mong Cha Cha(Cantonese), MIA = missing in action]

We have seen in old day’s movie, people need to climb mountains & travel thousand miles in search of Tok Guru to learn “bersilat” and became “pahlawan”; good and prominent teachers are not easily found. Why we need good sifu? This is because they are like baton in the dark and oasis in the desert, they give you hope & guidance when we lose hope and directionless. Luckily, many of them are staying with us in the Lowyat Forum. So, my friend, we should be contented and considered ourselves truly lucky where we no need to go high & low & up & down to search for the sifu, they are in the Lowyat forum. Trust me.

When someone likes to portray himself as capable person or accuse someone is not good, we don’t just hear one side since we got two ears, we can analyze and think of it ourselves. Don’t trust only the hearsay. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We are smart people. Just verify and do some cross checking will clear our doubt.

To all the good sifus out there, please do not let these half-can, half-baked, not-half-a-consultant give all of you a bad name anymore. Do not let these black sheep spoil the good image of this industry.

Above all is only my humble thought. Just some personal findings for sharing with my dear fellow readers here. Not to denounce any consultant. Not intended to hurt anyone. I understand both good consultants and con-suck-tans also need to “cari makan”. But I still hope that someday some good men would surface and some wise regulations will be introduced to weed out these bad hats.

I beg your pardon again for the broken English & “over-fire”.
